TiG Overview: Racers come and go, some remain in memory whilst others fade away into obscurity. The almost systematic truth is that most racers fall into the latter category. However, Real Racing by Firemint will remain in our cognitive loop for some time to come. The game simply eschews quality in every respect. Graphically, aurally and in terms of physics a new benchmark has been set; not only for the racing genre but for all game generes on the iPod Touch and iPhone.

Gameloft's latest shooter offering.

TiG Overview: Graphically Siberian Strike is brimming with colour, gorgeous layered parallax scrolling, atmospheric weather effects and its camera makes good use of polygon planes in a top down 2D environment. The pace of the action is nicely broken up by two instances of into the screen 3D flying, adding variety to the vertical 2D action.

Official release of iPhone 3G S 19th June 2009

So it's official, an email from Apple confirms to TiG that the iPhone 3G S will go on sale this Friday. This is great news for users who are in the market for a new iPhone. However,could this release alienate users who purchased an iPhone 3G only months ago? We know first hand that one of our own team here at TiG is rather annoyed that this quasi update has been brought out so soon. Time for the gamers out there to maybe forsake the iPhone 3G and get it on eBay! or of course buy an iPod Touch with it's already faster CPU!
